Transfer: Barcelona take final decision on Marcus Rashford as Sergio Ramos seeks Real Madrid return

Barcelona have reportedly made up their minds to sign Marcus Rashford permanently from Manchester United after being impressed by his loan spell at the club. The England forward has delivered strong performances in attack, convincing the Catalan giants that he fits perfectly into their long-term plans.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona have agreed internally to activate the €30 million buy option included in Rashford’s loan deal. Journalist Luis Miguelsanz revealed that the decision was unanimous, with club officials believing the price reflects Rashford’s quality and current market value. Manchester United are also said to be unwilling to negotiate a lower fee.

Away from Barcelona, attention has shifted to Sergio Ramos, who is considering a return to Spanish football after leaving Mexican side Monterrey. While the veteran defender has been linked with a reunion with Sevilla, the club’s sporting director has ruled out the move due to financial constraints. At 39, Ramos remains eager to continue playing at a high level.

Reports now suggest Real Madrid could be an option once again, with Ramos believed to be open to returning if the opportunity arises. Meanwhile, Barcelona are also monitoring Tottenham captain Cristian Romero, who is reportedly looking to leave the Premier League club this summer despite having a contract until 2029.
