In the latest episode of Big Brother Naija Season 9, Kassia opened up about her growing struggle to keep up the facade of being her husband Kellyrae’s best friend. This revelation came during her diary session with Biggie, where she admitted that the pretense is becoming increasingly challenging for her.

Kassia and Kellyrae, who are collectively known as DoubleKay, decided at the start of the season to present themselves as just close friends rather than a married couple. This strategy was meant to create a unique dynamic and add an extra layer of intrigue to their participation in the house. However, after over two weeks of maintaining this act, Kassia is finding it difficult to keep up the pretense.

The emotional strain of pretending to be something she’s not is starting to take its toll on Kassia. Her candid admission to Biggie highlights the personal cost of their strategic approach and adds a new dimension to their journey on the show.

She said,

“This whole bestie thing that we are doing is really getting to me, sometimes I just wanna jump on him [Kellyrae] but I can’t because of this whole bestie thing,” she lamented.

“Most of the tasks that we are asked to do, like the Aquafina Padi of Life task we did yesterday, I couldn’t really express myself because I didn’t want the house to know that we were married. It hasn’t been easy, Big Brother.”
