Suspected thugs have attacked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) secretariat in Edo State, causing tension and concern among party members and residents in the area. The incident reportedly occurred when a group of attackers forcefully entered the party office, damaging property and disrupting activities at the secretariat.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers arrived suddenly and caused panic before fleeing the scene. Although no loss of life was immediately reported, the attack left parts of the building vandalised. Party officials described the incident as a deliberate attempt to intimidate members and disrupt the party’s political activities in the state.

Following the attack, calls have grown for security agencies to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice. ADC leaders urged authorities to take political violence seriously, warning that such acts could undermine democratic processes and peaceful political participation.
