Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford has reportedly decided against returning to Manchester United at the end of the season. The England international is said to be focused on continuing his career away from Old Trafford despite renewed interest from his former club.
Reports had earlier suggested that Manchester United caretaker manager Michael Carrick was keen on bringing Rashford back if he is confirmed as the club’s permanent manager. However, fresh reports indicate that Rashford is not interested in a summer reunion with the Red Devils.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 28-year-old believes his future lies outside Manchester United. He has reportedly informed Barcelona of his desire to remain at the club, where he is currently playing on a season-long loan from United.
Rashford is said to be open to exploring other options if Barcelona decide not to make his move permanent. Rather than returning to Manchester United, the forward is expected to consider alternative opportunities elsewhere in Europe.
