Nyesom Wike saw future, took political risk – Ikwerre ex-LG Chair

Former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, Samuel Nwanosike, has said that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, took a bold political risk by supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election. According to him, that decision was based on foresight and has started yielding positive results for Rivers people.

Speaking in a recent interview that has since gone viral, Nwanosike explained that Rivers State has benefited from Tinubu’s administration through several key appointments given to indigenes of the state since May 2023. He described these developments as clear signs that Wike’s political gamble was well calculated.

Nwanosike noted that the president has already fulfilled part of the promises made to Rivers people, even before completing three years in office. He added that these actions have strengthened support for Tinubu across the state, regardless of party differences.

He further claimed that Rivers voters are ready to show appreciation in the next election. “In 2027, we are not talking about political parties,” he said. “We are voting to say thank you to a man who has done so much, and to Wike who saw our future and took the risk.”
