Ibadan Convention: We’ll continue to pursue justice for PDP – Factional chairman, Mohammed

The factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdulrahman Mohammed, has reaffirmed that the party will continue to rely on legal means to resolve its internal matters, following a court victory in Ibadan. He said the declaratory judgment of the Ibadan High Court was clear and left no room for doubt about the party’s position.

Mohammed spoke on Monday at a factional Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting in Abuja, where he stressed that the leadership remains committed to justice and due process. According to him, the court ruling strengthens the party’s resolve to address outstanding issues lawfully and transparently, in the overall interest of the PDP.

The PDP chieftain also revealed that the party would soon release a timetable for pending congresses in some states. He explained that completing these congresses would help stabilise party structures and prepare the ground for a smooth and credible National Convention in Ibadan.

Mohammed further described the PDP as a people-centred party with strong national structures and proven achievements. He thanked party leaders and members across the country for their continued support, noting that the current period is a crucial phase in the party’s history and that PDP must not lose focus or momentum.
