The Kebbi State Police Command has recorded another success in its fight against crime after rescuing two abducted victims and arresting one suspect in separate operations across Kalgo and Dandi Local Government Areas. The actions followed swift responses to distress reports and were carried out with the support of local vigilante groups.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, one of the victims was rescued without injury in Kalgo LGA. The operation was made possible through quick coordination between police operatives and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria. A suspect linked to the abduction was arrested, while efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the criminal gang.
Less than 24 hours later, police operatives in Dandi LGA rescued another abducted victim, identified as Garba Bachal. The victim was taken from Maigwaza Village, but a rapid police response forced the abductors to abandon him and flee the area. He was later taken to Maigwaza Hospital for medical checks and is said to be recovering well.
The Kebbi State Police Command said patrols, surveillance, and intelligence gathering have been strengthened to prevent further criminal activities. The command also urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and useful information, assuring the public of its commitment to keeping communities safe.
