Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially flagged off the reconstruction of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) road network, a project aimed at improving access and safety within the university and surrounding communities. The initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to upgrade critical infrastructure and ease movement in Zaria.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Sani said the project would enhance the learning environment for students and staff, while also supporting economic activities around the campus. He noted that the poor condition of the roads had been a long-standing concern, affecting daily transportation and security.

The governor explained that the reconstruction will involve proper drainage, asphalt surfacing, and road markings to ensure durability and safety. He assured residents and the university community that the project would be completed within the agreed timeline and according to quality standards.
