Transfer: Super Falcons’ Ayinde completes move to Swedish champions BK Häcken

Super Falcons midfielder Halimatu Ayinde has completed a move to Swedish champions BK Häcken after joining the club on a free transfer. The experienced midfielder is set to begin a new chapter in her career as she teams up with the Damallsvenskan title holders ahead of the new season.

Ayinde’s move to BK Häcken follows her departure from FC Rosengård, where she spent three productive years in Sweden’s top flight. During her time at Rosengård, the Nigerian international gained valuable experience at a high competitive level and established herself as a reliable presence in midfield.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder has enjoyed a well-travelled club career, having previously played for FC Minsk in Belarus, as well as Swedish sides Asarums IF FK and Eskilstuna United DFF. Her experience across different leagues is expected to add depth and stability to BK Häcken’s squad.

With BK Häcken aiming to defend their league title, Ayinde is expected to play an important role in the team’s campaign. The move also gives the Super Falcons star another opportunity to compete for major honours and further strengthen her reputation in European football.
