Coup Plot: Tinubu not joking, what you sow you reap – Joe Igbokwe

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reacted strongly to reports of an alleged coup plot against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, warning that those involved will face the consequences of their actions.

Igbokwe’s comments followed the release of a list of 16 officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces indicted by a Special Investigative Panel set up by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ). The officers were accused of serious misconduct, including an alleged plan to overthrow the Tinubu-led government. The development has sparked widespread reactions across political and security circles.

Reacting via a Facebook post, Igbokwe said President Tinubu should not be underestimated, stressing that the administration is determined to reform and reposition the country. He warned that anyone attempting to undermine the government would eventually “reap what they sow,” adding that the president is focused on restructuring and strengthening Nigeria’s institutions.

According to Igbokwe, the unfolding situation shows that the federal government is serious about maintaining constitutional order and discipline within the armed forces. He insisted that Tinubu’s leadership style is firm and purposeful, noting that the current administration is committed to long-term reforms despite resistance from vested interests.
