Troops of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued 11 kidnapped victims in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during a coordinated operation along the Kaduna–Abuja highway. The operation followed intelligence reports of armed kidnappers moving with captives in the area.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, soldiers stationed at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Doka spotted the kidnappers along a bush track between Gidan Duna and Amale. On noticing the approaching military vehicles and patrols, the abductors abandoned the victims and fled into the surrounding bush.
The rescued individuals included five adult males, three females, and three children. They revealed that they had been abducted from Gada Mallam Maman community in Kachia LGA on October 26, 2025. All victims were safely returned to their community and reunited with their families.
Security sources confirmed that patrols and operations in the area have been intensified to prevent further attacks and apprehend the fleeing suspects. The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to protecting citizens and maintaining security along vulnerable routes in Kaduna State.
