Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has revealed that she no longer feels safe walking alone in her Lekki estate, Lagos, due to worrying encounters with strangers. Speaking on the That’s What She Said podcast, Aladese shared that her experience in Lekki contrasts sharply with her time in Magodo, where walking alone—even late at night—was considered normal.
“Walking was part of my routine in Magodo, but here in Lekki, I’ve had several instances where strange men followed me,” Aladese said, highlighting her growing concerns for personal safety.
The actress recounted a frightening incident where she narrowly avoided danger. “On this fateful day, it was God that saved me. Since then, I decided to buy and use a treadmill at home,” she added.
Aladese’s revelation sheds light on the safety challenges residents face in some Lagos estates, prompting discussions about personal security measures and awareness in urban areas.
