An aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed claims that staff of the FCTA are being owed salaries. According to the aide, there are no outstanding salary payments within the administration, contrary to rumours circulating in some quarters.
Speaking on the issue, the aide stated clearly that he had received his December salary without delay. He stressed that this reflects the general situation across the FCTA, insisting that workers have been paid as and when due.
The aide described reports of unpaid salaries as misleading and unnecessary, noting that such claims only create confusion among workers and residents of the Federal Capital Territory. He urged the public to rely on verified information rather than speculation.
Reassuring FCTA staff, the official maintained that the Wike-led administration remains committed to workers’ welfare and transparency. He added that salary payments are a priority and that there is no plan or reason to withhold workers’ entitlements.
