Dele Momodu, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called for urgent action to rescue Nigeria from one-man dictatorship. He made the remarks during an interview on ‘The Morning Brief’ programme on Channels Television.
Speaking about the upcoming 2027 general elections, Momodu emphasized the importance of conscience in politics. He stated that pursuing personal wealth should not be the goal of politicians, noting that Nigeria needs leaders committed to the nation’s wellbeing rather than personal gain.
Momodu likened the country’s current situation to a patient in need of medical care, saying that Nigeria requires recovery and proper guidance before focusing on developmental projects. He stressed that good politics should aim to restore the country and ensure progress.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to support efforts that promote democracy and prevent concentration of power in the hands of a single individual, highlighting the role of citizens in shaping the nation’s future.
