The National Judicial Council (NJC) has cleared the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo, of all allegations of misconduct and financial wrongdoing. The Council said a special investigation committee carefully reviewed several petitions and found no proof to support claims of mismanagement, abuse of office or violation of judicial ethics.
The petitions came from different individuals and groups, including top state officials, judiciary workers and private citizens. They accused the Chief Judge of issues such as unfair staff treatment, misuse of judiciary funds and disobedience of court orders. However, after listening to all sides and examining documents and testimonies, the committee concluded that the claims were either not valid or not supported by evidence.
On the financial accusations, the NJC said there was no proof that Justice Ojo diverted money or benefited personally from any judiciary funds. It also explained that staff promotions, training and disciplinary actions fall under the responsibility of the Judicial Service Commission and were handled according to the law.
The NJC stressed that all parties were given fair hearing during the investigation and were allowed to present their cases fully. Based on the committee’s findings, the Council dismissed all the petitions and officially cleared the Osun Chief Judge of any wrongdoing.
