Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has spoken about Morocco’s attacking star, Brahim Diaz, ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON clash with the North African side. Chelle described Diaz as a very intelligent and technical player who can change a game at any moment with his creativity and movement. He warned his players to stay focused and disciplined when dealing with the Moroccan forward.
Chelle explained that Diaz’s strength is not just his speed or skill on the ball, but also his ability to find space between defenders. According to the coach, if Diaz is allowed too much freedom, he can create chances or score important goals. This is why Nigeria’s defenders have been instructed to close him down quickly and work as a unit.
The Super Eagles coach, however, insisted that Nigeria will not focus on one player alone. He said Morocco is a strong team with many quality players, and stopping only Diaz will not be enough to win the match. Chelle stressed that the Super Eagles must respect their opponents but also believe in their own strength and game plan.
Chelle added that Nigeria’s approach will be based on teamwork, discipline, and confidence. He said if the Super Eagles play with focus and follow instructions, they can handle any player, including Brahim Diaz, and achieve their goal at the tournament.
