Senator Francis Fadahunsi has expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome its current security challenges, saying the situation is difficult but not beyond control. He said with proper leadership, stronger institutions and public cooperation, the country can defeat insecurity and restore peace across troubled regions.
Speaking on the matter, Fadahunsi noted that issues such as banditry, kidnapping and terrorism are deep-rooted and require long-term solutions rather than quick fixes. He urged the government to invest more in intelligence, community policing and modern security equipment to help security agencies work more effectively.
The senator also stressed the importance of tackling unemployment and poverty, which he described as major drivers of crime and violence. According to him, when young people have access to education, jobs and opportunities, they are less likely to be drawn into criminal activities.
He called on Nigerians to support security agencies by sharing information and promoting unity instead of ethnic or religious division. Fadahunsi said peace is a shared responsibility and insisted that Nigeria has the strength and resilience to overcome its security problems.
