Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reacted to recent political talks surrounding his reported defection plans, saying he prefers action over excessive public debate. The governor said leadership should be judged by results and service to the people, not by constant political noise or speculation.
Speaking through his media team, Yusuf explained that his main focus remains governance, development, and improving the welfare of Kano residents. He said political movements are part of democracy, but they should not distract leaders from delivering roads, healthcare, education, and security for the people.
The governor also urged politicians and supporters to reduce unnecessary arguments and allow space for constructive engagement. He stressed that politics should be guided by the interest of the citizens and not personal ambition or party rivalry.
Yusuf assured Kano residents that regardless of political changes, his administration remains committed to transparency, accountability, and people-centred development. He promised to continue working quietly but effectively to move the state forward.
