Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Jigawa State have passed a vote of confidence in the party’s state leadership and former Governor Sule Lamido. The decision was taken after a meeting where party officials reviewed recent political developments and the future direction of the party in the state.
The chairmen said the current leadership has shown unity, experience, and commitment to rebuilding the PDP and making it stronger ahead of future elections. They also praised Lamido for his continued guidance, saying his role remains important in keeping the party united and focused.
According to them, the endorsement is meant to encourage cooperation among party members and reduce internal disputes. They urged PDP supporters in Jigawa to stay loyal, avoid division, and work together to grow the party’s influence across the state.
The group said the vote of confidence reflects the trust they have in the leadership to steer the PDP in the right direction. They added that the party remains committed to democratic values and to offering strong opposition and good governance for the people of Jigawa State.
