Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has praised three of his teammates for helping to organise the Nigerian team during their AFCON campaign. He said their leadership and communication on and off the pitch have played a big role in keeping the squad focused and disciplined throughout the tournament.

Although Bassey did not reveal everything that happens behind the scenes, he explained that the players deserve credit for guiding younger teammates, maintaining order in the camp, and ensuring everyone understands the team’s goals. According to him, such organisation makes it easier for the coaches and players to work together.

Bassey added that football is not only about skills and goals but also about leadership, unity, and responsibility. He stressed that teams that succeed in major tournaments usually have players who take charge and help keep everyone motivated and organised.

He concluded by thanking the three players for their efforts, saying their “good job” has helped create a positive atmosphere in the Super Eagles camp and has strengthened the team’s chances of success at AFCON.
