At least 16 people have lost their lives after a canoe carrying about 30 passengers capsized in Adiyani village, Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The victims were travelling across a river between nearby communities when the boat suddenly overturned, throwing everyone into the water. The tragic incident has left many families in shock and grief.
