Obi’s defection: We’re finally liberated – Factional Labour Party

A faction of the Labour Party (LP) has expressed relief and celebration following Peter Obi’s defection from the party. The group stated that Obi’s departure has finally liberated the party from internal tensions that had hampered decision-making.

The factional leaders said that Obi’s exit allows the party to refocus on its principles and work toward building stronger structures without conflicts from competing interests. They stressed that the party can now engage in genuine political activities and plan for future elections.

Members of the faction added that the change provides an opportunity to nurture fresh leadership and empower emerging politicians within the LP. They believe this will strengthen the party’s grassroots influence and improve cohesion among members.

The faction concluded by urging Nigerians to remain supportive of the party’s renewed vision and emphasized that LP is now ready to prioritize the collective interest of its members and the country, unencumbered by past internal disputes.
