Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has clearly stated that he has no plans to leave the Labour Party, saying the party brought him to power and deserves his loyalty. He made the declaration to address growing rumours about a possible defection to another political party.

Otti said he remains grateful to the Labour Party and its supporters for trusting him with leadership. He stressed that abandoning the party now would be unfair and disrespectful to the people who stood by him during the election.

The governor added that his main focus is delivering good governance, improving infrastructure, and uplifting the living standards of Abia residents rather than engaging in political distractions.

He urged the public to ignore speculation and false reports, assuring citizens that he remains committed to the Labour Party and to the mandate given to him by the people of Abia State.
