Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the development of Ogoni land is clear in the projects currently being carried out in the area. He noted that the federal government is moving beyond promises and is now focusing on real actions that will improve lives.
Wike pointed to key infrastructure works such as road construction, environmental clean-up efforts, and public facilities as proof that the president is serious about the region’s growth. He said these projects will help create jobs, improve transportation, and restore the environment damaged by years of oil pollution.
According to Wike, the people of Ogoni have waited a long time for meaningful development, and the present administration is finally responding to their needs. He urged community leaders and residents to support the projects and protect them so that they can be completed successfully.
He also encouraged other stakeholders to work with the federal government to ensure peace and cooperation in the region. Wike stressed that sustainable development in Ogoni land will only be achieved through unity, transparency, and continuous government support.
