Tambuwal visits Sokoto community after US airstrikes

Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator for Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, visited Jabo District to meet residents affected by US airstrikes targeting suspected terrorist hideouts between December 25 and 26. He expressed sympathy for those impacted and urged calm as security agencies continue their operations.

Tambuwal highlighted the importance of leaders being present during crises to reassure citizens and maintain peace. He commended the community for staying calm, noting that their response prevented panic and possible escalation.

The senator also reminded residents that terrorism is a threat to everyone, stressing that it is neither religious nor ethnic but a fight of all good people against evil. He said security is vital for both economic activities and freedom of worship to thrive in the community.
