150 passengers stranded as ground handler damages Air Peace Aircraft

About 150 passengers were left stranded after a ground handling company accidentally damaged an Air Peace aircraft at a Nigerian airport. The incident happened while the plane was being prepared for departure, forcing the airline to suspend the flight for safety checks and repairs.

Air Peace said the damage was noticed before takeoff, which helped prevent a more serious situation. Engineers were immediately called in to inspect the aircraft and ensure it was safe to fly again. The airline explained that passenger safety remains its top priority, even when it leads to delays and inconvenience.

Affected passengers were asked to wait while the airline made alternative arrangements. Some were rebooked on later flights, while others chose to reschedule their trips. Many travellers expressed frustration but also appreciated that the problem was discovered early.

Air Peace has since apologised to passengers for the disruption and promised to work closely with airport service providers to prevent similar incidents in the future. The airline also assured customers that it is reviewing safety procedures with its partners.
