The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack that happened at a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State. The attack, which took place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, led to the loss of several lives and left many others injured.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Professor T. A. Muhammad-Baba, the forum expressed deep sorrow over the incident. ACF said it mourns those who died in the attack and prayed for the peaceful rest of their souls, while wishing the injured a quick and full recovery.
The forum also extended its condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Borno State. According to ACF, the tragic incident is a painful reminder that terrorism and insecurity remain serious challenges in the country.
ACF urged security agencies and the government to intensify efforts against those behind such attacks. It stressed that the fight against insecurity must be taken seriously and pursued with greater determination in order to protect lives and restore peace across Nigeria.
