Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai have urged Nigerians to use the Christmas season to promote unity, peace, and understanding across the country. They encouraged citizens to look beyond religious and ethnic differences and focus on what binds them together as one nation.

In their separate Christmas messages, both leaders stressed that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity. They said the country can only make progress when its people work together in harmony, respect one another, and uphold shared values of love, tolerance, and fairness.

Atiku called on Nigerians to show kindness to one another, especially to the less privileged, while El-Rufai appealed for patience and cooperation among citizens as the nation works through its current challenges. They both emphasized that unity is key to building a stable and prosperous Nigeria.

They also urged political leaders and citizens alike to put national interest above personal or political differences. According to them, the Christmas season should remind everyone of the importance of peace, compassion, and collective responsibility in shaping the future of the country.
