The Niger Delta Development and Protection Agency (N-HYPPADEC) has issued a public warning over fake recruitment messages being circulated in its name. The agency said fraudsters are using social media and messaging platforms to deceive job seekers with false employment invitations.
According to the agency, these fake messages often request personal details or demand payment for processing and training. N-HYPPADEC stressed that it does not charge any fee for recruitment and has not authorized any individual or group to conduct hiring on its behalf.
The agency advised members of the public, especially young people seeking jobs, to verify any recruitment information through its official website or recognized government communication channels. It also urged citizens to report suspicious messages to law enforcement agencies.
N-HYPPADEC reassured Nigerians that any genuine recruitment exercise would be announced openly and transparently through official platforms. The agency called for public cooperation to help stop fraud and protect innocent people from falling victim to scams.
