President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated a new committee within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to handle internal conflicts and strengthen mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections. The committee is expected to help resolve disputes within the party and build unity among members across the country.
Speaking at the inauguration, Tinubu stressed that peace within the party is key to its success. He urged party leaders to put personal interests aside and work together for the growth of the APC, describing unity as the foundation for winning future elections.
The conflict-resolution and mobilisation committee will mediate in disputes, reconcile aggrieved members, and encourage participation at the grassroots level. Party officials believe this will reduce internal tensions and help the APC present a stronger and more organised front.
Supporters of the party have welcomed the move, saying it shows seriousness about stability and preparedness. They expressed hope that the committee will promote dialogue, fairness, and cooperation as the 2027 elections draw closer.
