Christmas: Be conscious of our shared humanity – Fintiri tells Nigerians

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called on Nigerians to use the Christmas season as a time to reflect on kindness, unity and compassion for one another. He said the celebration should go beyond fun and gifts, and instead remind people of the importance of love, peace and mutual respect.

The governor encouraged citizens to be mindful of the struggles of others and to offer help where possible, especially to the poor, displaced persons and those facing hardship. He noted that showing concern for one another strengthens communities and promotes peaceful coexistence across ethnic and religious lines.

Fintiri also urged Nigerians to reject hate, violence and division, saying that the country can only move forward when people see each other as brothers and sisters. He stressed that no matter their background, Nigerians share a common destiny and should work together for a better society.

He wished Christians a joyful Christmas and prayed for peace, stability and progress across the nation. The governor expressed hope that the season would inspire renewed commitment to national unity, understanding and care for one another.
