Governor Yusuf has expressed strong support for the creation and empowerment of state police, saying it will help improve security across Nigeria. He noted that local policing will be more effective in tackling crime within communities.
The governor emphasized that state police can work closely with federal law enforcement agencies to address security challenges faster and more efficiently. According to him, local knowledge and community engagement will reduce criminal activities significantly.
Yusuf also highlighted that implementing state police will allow for quicker responses to emergencies, better crime prevention, and enhanced protection of lives and properties in every state. He encouraged all states to adopt similar measures to strengthen safety.
