Residents in parts of Lagos were thrown into fear and uncertainty after security agencies arrested two men suspected to be members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). The arrest, which took place during a coordinated security operation, has raised fresh concerns about the presence of terror networks in major Nigerian cities.

According to security sources, the suspects were picked up following credible intelligence reports linking them to extremist activities. The operation was carried out discreetly to avoid panic, but news of the arrest later spread across the affected communities, leaving many residents worried about their safety.
