The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to complete renovations of 70% of schools in Abuja by early 2026. This move is part of the ongoing efforts to improve learning environments and enhance the quality of education in the nation’s capital.

According to the FCTA, the school renovation project began last year and has so far upgraded classrooms, laboratories, and other learning facilities. The administration noted that these improvements aim to create conducive spaces for both students and teachers.

The Minister of the FCTA emphasized that completing the renovations on schedule is crucial for ensuring that schools reopen in a safe and well-equipped environment. Authorities also highlighted that continuous monitoring is being carried out to meet project deadlines.
