We withdrew formation of private Hisbah for sake of peace in Kano – Ganduje

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has revealed that the state government decided to halt the formation of a private Hisbah group to preserve peace in the region. He explained that the move was made after careful consideration of its potential impact on community harmony.

Ganduje emphasized that the government remains committed to maintaining law and order but believes that creating private enforcement groups could lead to misunderstandings and unrest. The decision reflects the administration’s focus on peaceful coexistence among residents.

The governor also noted that existing security structures are sufficient to handle law enforcement duties without the need for private religious police. He reassured the public that Kano State continues to prioritize security and peaceful living for all citizens.

In closing, Ganduje urged citizens to cooperate with official security agencies and stressed that decisions like this are made to avoid conflict and ensure a stable environment in the state.
