Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has said the government will take steps to immortalise the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi. He described the cleric as a man of peace whose teachings promoted unity, tolerance, and moral values across Nigeria.
According to the governor, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s influence went beyond religion, as he played a key role in calming tensions and encouraging dialogue among different groups. Uba Sani noted that such a legacy deserves to be preserved for future generations to learn from.
He explained that plans to honour the renowned scholar may include naming public institutions after him and supporting initiatives that reflect his lifelong commitment to education and peaceful coexistence. The governor added that consultations would be held with relevant stakeholders and the Bauchi family.
Uba Sani assured followers and well-wishers that the state remains committed to upholding the values Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi stood for. He urged Nigerians to continue embracing peace, humility, and mutual respect, which defined the late cleric’s life and teachings.
