Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appealed to motorists and commuters to exercise patience while using major roads across the state. He explained that several ongoing construction and rehabilitation projects are part of efforts to improve transportation and reduce long-term traffic challenges. According to him, the temporary inconvenience will lead to better, safer and more efficient road networks.

The governor noted that the state government is aware of the delays caused by heavy traffic, diversions and roadblocks. However, he stressed that these disruptions are unavoidable when major repairs are underway. Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians that the contractors are working with strict timelines to ensure faster completion of the projects.

He also encouraged residents to follow traffic guidelines, obey officials, and use alternative routes where necessary. The governor emphasized that cooperation from the public will help reduce congestion and prevent unnecessary accidents or road frustration. He added that patience and understanding are important as the government continues upgrading infrastructure.

Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to modernizing Lagos roads and improving daily movement for millions of people. He called on the public to trust the process, promising that the end result will bring lasting relief and smoother transportation across the state.
