I’ve upset you – Carragher apologises to Liverpool winger Salah

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has publicly apologised to Mohamed Salah after comments he made about the Egyptian winger caused controversy. Carragher admitted that his words may have upset Salah and said that was never his intention.

Speaking during a football discussion, Carragher explained that his remarks were meant as analysis, not personal criticism. He stressed that Salah remains one of Liverpool’s greatest modern players and has been vital to the club’s success over the years.

Carragher also praised Salah’s professionalism and consistency, describing him as a player who delivers in big moments. He said disagreements should not take away from the winger’s incredible achievements and influence at Anfield.

The apology appears to have eased tension among Liverpool supporters, many of whom defended Salah. The situation highlights how opinions from former players can spark debate, especially when discussing a club legend still active at the top level.
