Former Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, has described the relationship between Nigeria and the United States as strong, valuable, and worthy of further growth under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He said the long-standing partnership has brought benefits to both countries in areas such as security, trade, education, and diplomacy.
Dare noted that Nigeria and the US share common democratic values and economic interests. According to him, these shared goals provide a solid foundation for deeper cooperation, especially as Nigeria works to strengthen its economy and improve governance under the current government.
He added that President Tinubu’s foreign policy direction presents an opportunity to expand collaboration in investment, technology, youth development, and security. Dare stressed that maintaining mutual respect and open dialogue will help both nations tackle global and regional challenges together.
The former minister urged Nigerian leaders and diplomats to protect and improve the relationship with the US. He said a stronger Nigeria–US partnership would support national development, promote stability, and improve Nigeria’s image on the global stage.
