Okpebholo, a legal and political analyst, has claimed that recent abductions in Nigeria are not only aimed at stopping President Tinubu but have also been used against former President Goodluck Jonathan. He explained that kidnappings have often been politicized to influence public opinion and create fear among citizens.
According to Okpebholo, politicians exploit security crises for their advantage. He said abductions are sometimes highlighted selectively, depending on who is in power, to gain political leverage or criticize opponents.
The analyst stressed that the use of abductions for political purposes undermines national security and creates mistrust among the public. He urged authorities to address the root causes of insecurity rather than allowing it to be a political tool.
Finally, Okpebholo called on citizens to demand accountability and proper action from the government. He emphasized that abductions should be treated as criminal acts, not political ammunition.
