Borno spent N100bn on security in 2025 — Gov Zulum

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has revealed that the state spent over N100 billion on security in 2025. He explained that the huge spending was necessary to keep the state safe and support ongoing efforts against insurgency. According to him, peace and stability remain the top priority of his administration.

Governor Zulum said the money was used to support security agencies, improve equipment, and strengthen community protection groups. He noted that without strong security measures, development projects would not succeed, especially in areas recovering from attacks.

The governor added that even though the cost is high, the state cannot stop investing in safety. He stressed that protecting citizens, rebuilding communities, and restoring normal life require steady and serious funding. Zulum also urged the federal government to continue assisting states facing heavy security challenges.

He assured residents that his administration will continue to push for a safer Borno and work towards long-term peace. He called on communities to support security agencies and remain alert to any suspicious activity.
