Wike appoints Galadima Senior Special Assistant on Development Control, Planning

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Galadima as the new Senior Special Assistant on Development Control and Planning. The appointment is part of Wike’s ongoing efforts to reorganize the FCT administration and strengthen urban development management. He said the new aide is expected to support the government in enforcing planning rules across Abuja.

According to the minister, Galadima’s experience in land administration and development control makes him a strong fit for the role. Wike noted that Abuja needs professionals who understand how to manage growth, maintain order, and prevent illegal structures. He emphasized that the FCT must uphold its master plan to ensure the city remains organized and safe.

The appointment also aims to boost the government’s focus on proper zoning, monitoring construction sites, and tackling environmental violations. Wike explained that effective planning is key to reducing congestion, improving housing systems, and supporting investors. He added that Galadima will work closely with relevant agencies to implement new strategies.

Wike urged the new aide to bring fresh ideas and act with transparency, stressing that the FCT administration is committed to improving service delivery. He assured residents that stricter development control will help protect public spaces, promote orderliness, and enhance Abuja’s long-term growth.
