The President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has called on the National Sports Commission (NSC) to make decisions that will strengthen the sports business sector. He emphasized that strategic choices could help create more opportunities for athletes, investors, and sports-related enterprises.

Speaking at a recent event, the SWAN President highlighted the importance of professional management and sound policies to attract sponsorships and investments in Nigerian sports. He stressed that sports could become a significant source of revenue if properly harnessed.

He urged stakeholders to adopt innovative approaches to sports marketing, infrastructure development, and talent management. According to him, a focused strategy would encourage more young people to see sports as a viable career path.

The SWAN President also called for collaboration between the NSC, private investors, and media organizations to expand the reach of Nigerian sports. He concluded that informed decisions could galvanize the entire sports ecosystem and boost national pride.
