Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has shared his thoughts on which teams are most likely to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. According to him, three countries stand out based on their current form, squad strength, and recent performances in international football. Gyan noted that the competition will be tough, but these countries remain ahead of the pack.

Gyan listed Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria as his top favourites for the title. He explained that Morocco have shown consistency after their impressive World Cup outing, while Senegal continue to boast some of the strongest players on the continent. Nigeria, he said, remain a team with huge attacking talent and can defeat any opponent on their best day.

The former Black Stars striker added that AFCON is always unpredictable, but teams with quality, stability, and experience usually go farther in the tournament. He stressed that these three nations have the right mix of discipline and star players capable of carrying them to the final stages.

Gyan, however, warned that no team should be underestimated, as smaller nations have caused major upsets in past editions. He believes AFCON 2025 will be one of the most competitive tournaments in recent years, with fans expecting high-level football from start to finish.
