Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has warned that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will no longer tolerate individuals who act against the party’s interests. He stated that anyone undermining the party’s unity and objectives will face strict disciplinary actions.
Speaking at a party event, Bala Mohammed emphasized the importance of loyalty and discipline among PDP members, stressing that the party must remain united to achieve its political goals. He condemned actions by some members that he said were damaging the party’s reputation.
The governor highlighted that internal divisions weaken PDP’s effectiveness and called on all members to prioritize collective interest over personal ambitions. He urged leaders and party faithful to support efforts aimed at strengthening the party.
Bala Mohammed’s statement comes amid ongoing factional struggles within the PDP, with tensions rising between the Wike-led group and other party leaders. The warning is seen as an effort to maintain party cohesion ahead of upcoming elections.
Political observers note that the governor’s remarks signal a firm stance by the PDP leadership against indiscipline and could influence how internal disputes are handled moving forward.
