Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Chelle, has expressed pride in the team’s performance during their 2026 World Cup playoff match against Gabon. Although the game ended in a tough draw, Chelle said the players showed strong determination and gave everything on the pitch.

According to him, the match was not easy, but the team fought hard from start to finish. He noted that the players followed the tactical plan and maintained pressure even when the game became difficult.

Chelle also stated that the Super Eagles are still confident of securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup. He praised the unity within the squad and said the technical crew is working on improving areas where mistakes were made.
