Galatasaray’s Sporting Director, Cenk Türk, has revealed that Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has caught the attention of the Turkish champions, with Victor Osimhen serving as his biggest reference point.

In a recent interview with Turkish outlet Fanatik, Türk stated that the club is closely monitoring Lookman, who currently plays for Atalanta in the Italian Serie A. He described the winger as a player with impressive pace, skill, and a winning mentality, similar to Osimhen.

“Lookman is a great player with tremendous energy and consistency. His performances at Atalanta and for Nigeria speak volumes,” Türk said. “Of course, his biggest reference is Victor Osimhen, another outstanding Nigerian talent making waves in Europe.”

Lookman has been in excellent form for both club and country, earning recognition for his contributions during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he played a vital role in helping Nigeria reach the final. His versatility and attacking flair have made him a target for several European clubs, including those in Turkey.

Reports indicate that Galatasaray could make a formal move for the Super Eagles star in the next transfer window, though negotiations would depend on Atalanta’s willingness to sell.
