The Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has called on Lagos residents to report any illegal or substandard health centres operating within the state. The agency said the appeal aims to ensure that only qualified medical practitioners and approved facilities provide healthcare services to the public.
According to HEFAMAA, many unregistered clinics and hospitals continue to operate in different parts of Lagos, putting people’s lives at risk. The agency stressed that it will continue to inspect and shut down such facilities to maintain quality healthcare standards.
The agency also urged residents to use official channels such as hotlines and online platforms to report any suspicious medical activities. It assured the public that all reports would be treated confidentially and appropriate action taken immediately.
HEFAMAA further reminded health workers to renew their licenses and ensure compliance with all government regulations to avoid sanctions or closure.
