In Adamawa State, a 22-year-old man named Muhammed Mustapha has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and murdering his 8-year-old cousin, Muhammed Auwal (Khalifa). The incident took place on July 25, 2024, in Madina, Mubi North Local Government Area.
Mustapha reportedly kidnapped the boy and demanded a ransom of 2.8 million Naira from his parents. Unfortunately, after intoxication, he strangled the child, leading to the boy’s death.
The police were alerted by Harris Muhammed, the boy’s father and Mustapha’s uncle. According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspect confessed to the crime, attributing his actions to the effects of an intoxicating substance he had consumed.
