The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed deep worry over growing bandit violence in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The body revealed that Christian clerics have been killed in recent attacks, painting a troubling picture of insecurity in the community.
CAN condemned the killings and called on government and security agencies to act quickly to stop the continued attacks and protect innocent residents. According to the group, the wave of violence is forcing many families to flee their homes, leaving communities devastated and churches in fear.
The association stressed that religious leaders should not be targets of violence and highlighted the need for better security presence in the area. CAN urged both federal and state authorities to take stronger action to restore peace and ensure that worship centres and community leaders are safe.
CAN’s message also appealed to security agencies to step up patrols, arrest attackers, and bring justice to families who have lost loved ones. They insisted that communities in Kajuru deserved protection and should not live in constant fear of bandit attacks.
